Solution Merge the existing loyalty program with a new donation feature to increase user engagement as well as appeal to users’ mental wellness.
Methodology

User-center design
Agile (Collaboration with PM, devs, and QA)
Discovery & Investigation
The first iteration of the loyalty program was rolled out in the summer of 2021. For the second iteration, with social causes in mind, a survey was conducted to gauge user interest in social causes. The most popular ones were those involving animal rescues, providing for underprivileged women & children, and educational initiatives. Some of the products I compared as a benchmark were Starbucks, Rappi, Uber, and Kickstarter.
Usability testing and prototyping
A usability test was conducted on UserLytics with 6 users between the ages of 25 and 45 across Mexico. Check out the prototype here!
Below you can find the summary of key tasks from the usability test. The considerations were implemented and can be seen in the final UI screens scrolling a little bit further down.
